Camp Shemesh is where fun, growth, and friendship shine! Each week campers participate in age-appropriate learning activities that emphasize creativity and self-discovery.

All campers celebrate a designed them each week, and participate in games, activities and projects that center around that theme. Possible themes include:

Abracadabra Magic — Learn tricks and illusions in a week of wonder.

Dinosaur Days — Unearth fossils and explore prehistoric worlds.

Ooey Gooey Science — Dive into messy, hands-on experiments kids love.

For campers who will be entering Grades 1-6 in the fall of 2026

Our flagship summer program, Summer@Levine, is where campers can explore, create, and have an unforgettable time learning something unique that no other camp offers. From producing their own podcast, developing a video game, getting active in the gym or creating masterpieces in the studio, campers are able to tailor their experience to their unique interests.

Possible classes include:

Clay to Action — Sculpt characters and create your own stop-motion film.

Archery Fundamentals — Learn Olympic-style archery with certified coaches.

Roblox Game Masters — Design and build your own playable Roblox world.

For campers who will be entering Grades 7-9 in the fall of 2026

Lead. Inspire. Grow. Our Leaders-in-Training (L.I.T.) Program gives older campers the chance to step into a counselor role and make a real impact. L.I.T.s assist with activities, ensure safety and help each day run smoothly under the guidance of experienced staff.

Children from any school or background, ages infant through grade 7, are invited to attend summer camps at Levine. The only requirement is that the child be current on immunizations, submit their shot record, and all required forms.

Campers in Summer@Levine, Camp Shemesh, Leaders-In-Training and Camp Invention may sign up for weekly hot lunch or may bring their own.

No lunch is provided during our Athletics Clinics.

Families will be required to pay in full during the checkout phase of registration. If a program is full, a family may be waitlisted. Refunds will be issued for sessions that do not make due to enrollment numbers.

Cancellation and Refunds, 2026:

A $25 fee will be retained for each week of canceled registrations.

• Cancellation Date: Prior to April 30, all camp fees, less the cancellation fee, will be refunded.
• Cancellation Date: After May 1 until May 31, prior to the camp start, 50% of camp fees, less the cancellation fee, will be refunded.
• Cancellation Date: After June 1, no refunds will be issued*

*Refunds or credits may be issued for extraordinary circumstances, such as loss of income or medical emergencies, and will be prorated based on the remaining days or sessions.

When you completed your registration, you received a confirmation email with details about your camp registration. You can also log back into the platform at any time to update family information such as authorized pick-ups or medication, and view current, past or upcoming registrations. 

Please park and walk inside the school and staff will bring your child to you.

Yes, we have a full-time nurse working at the camp to handle all medical situations. She will have carefully reviewed all health forms before the start of the summer and might be in touch with families directly if she has any questions about their child’s medical history.

Many of our counselors also have advanced first-aid and CPR training and are able to assist in a medical emergency.

During our summer programs, families may feel confident knowing their campers are supported by a highly qualified, caring and professional team. Our staff members are experienced in working with children in school and camp settings, and are chosen for their ability to create a safe, engaging, and positive environment. They are trained to support camper safety, social growth and joyful learning through hands-on activities and meaningful connections.

Camp Shemesh is lead by Dana Shidlofsky who has decades of experience in early childhood education and a passion for teaching the littlest of learners. Dana holds a Bachelor's Degree in Early Childhood Education from the University of Witwatersrand in Johannesburg, South Africa, and has been with Levine Academy as an educator since 2013.

Our Summer@Levine Director, Marco Rodriguez, holds a master's degree in education and is an experienced leader with a strong background in educational youth programming. Marco oversees daily operations, supervises and supports staff, and ensures that each camp day runs smoothly and safely. Marco also works closely with families and school leadership to maintain high standards of care, communication and programming.

The Advanced Athletics Clinics will be run by Levine Academy Athletics Director Stacey Segal who holds bachelor's of science degree from Texas A&M University and a master's degree in education from the University of Texas at Tyler. As a lifelong educator, Stacey has retained certifications as a Certified Master Athletic Adminstrator, Accredited Interscholastic Coach, Physical Education EC-12 and Principal K-12. 

Together, our staff and directors are committed to providing a welcoming, well-organized and enriching summer experience where kids feel supported, challenged and excited to come to camp each day.

We have a small staff-to-camper ratio of 1:6, which allows for more specialized attention for each camper.

Our discipline and conflict resolution are handled with care, consistency and a focus on growth. Our staff uses positive-behavior support and age-appropriate guidance to help campers understand expectations, make good choices, and learn from mistakes.

When conflicts arise, counselors and directors guide campers through calm conversations that emphasize listening, empathy and problem-solving, helping them resolve issues respectfully and safely.

Families are kept informed when needed, and Camp Directors are involved in addressing ongoing or more serious concerns. We view discipline as a teaching opportunity that reinforces responsibility, kindness and community rather than punishment, so campers feel supported while learning important life skills.
