Additional Camp Partnerships on the Levine Campus

June 12-16 -- Camp Invention: Wonder* (ages 6-12) (This is a five day, am/pm program. No field trip for this camp. A separate registration is required.)  Click HERE to be redirected to Camp Invention's registration site. Big ideas pop up, in Pop-Up Venture, as children design their own mini pop-up business! Building their entrepreneurship skills, campers make strong financial decisions and develop creative marketing strategies to attract customers and achieve their business goals. In Catching Air, children ride through physics, engineering, invention and art as they build their own skate park complete with ramps, bowls and rails! After personalizing their mini skateboards, they gain momentum and learn perseverance by practicing tricks of creativity and invention. To create the best celebration ever, children become confident event planners in Invention Celebration! They engineer light-up party hats, invent a Party Assistant to help with their plans, explore the science of color with bubble art banners and experiment with sound vibrations through the creation of a musical instrument. Children show their unique style when they transform a MimicBot into a one-of-a-kind animatronic stuffie using inspiration from nature! They explore biomimicry, genetics and adaptive creativity, and they learn how to use the power of intellectual property to protect their creation from the idea-stealing Copy Cat.

July 17-21 -- Camp Invention: Fast Forward* (ages 6-12) (This is a five day, am/pm program. No field trip for this camp. A separate registration is required.) Click HERE to be redirected to Camp Invention's registration site. Your child will become a Robotic Pet Vet™ using tools, circuitry, biology and physiology to take apart and diagnose puppy problems. Campers then celebrate the homecoming of their customized robotic pet as they demonstrate design engineering concepts in the construction of a new dog park attraction! In Mod My Mini Mansion™ your child will dream up and design their very own futuristic smart home filled with gadgets, LEDs and technology - from exploring renewable sources to binary coding, this take-home mini mansion will make architecture concepts unforgettable! Campers will launch into the future with their very own Optibot™ - a small self-driving bot that senses change in light, as children go on an exploration adventure fueled by aerial, aquatic and land transportation technology!Daily challenges will inspire your young innovator to Stick To It™ using collaboration, discovery and invention prototyping to solve real world issues. Whether it's through the lens of a physicist, engineer or entrepreneur, campers explore chemistry with magnetic slime, trajectory in a catapult challenge, and the exciting testing of mechanical gears and their robotic arm creations!

*Leaders-In-Training/LITs (rising 7th-9th graders) Leaders-in-Training are at the center of fun challenges and creative STEM learning at Camp Invention. When you register your middle schooler to be a Leader-in-Training, you’ll give them the chance to take on the role of a Camp Invention counselor. While campers take on activities created by education experts and National Inventors Hall of Fame® Inductees, Leaders-in-Training provide guidance and encouragement, inspiring children to do their very best. With this one-of-a-kind experience, your Leader-in-Training will not only have fun for the summer, but they’ll also gain valuable skills for the future.
