Acts of Loving Kindness
Levine Academy

Last Wednesday, our Eighth Graders joined Akiba Academy for a joint presentation from Sharsheret, a national non-profit organization that supports young Jewish women and their families in the face of breast cancer.

Mina Pulizter, a Yavneh graduate, spoke to Middle School students about losing her Mother and Aunt to breast cancer. Mina shared a powerful message reminding our students of the concept of Tikkun Olam and that, "There's no such thing as being too young to improve the world". Following the presentation, both schools united in creating banners, pink slime, and bookmarks in support of the cause.

Our Eighth Graders were phenomenal ambassadors of Chesed v'Rachamim and Ann & Nate Levine Academy while visiting our friends at Akiba. We know they will bring back Mina's powerful message to our community and empower their peers to do their part in improving the world.
