Great people. Good deeds.

This year, for the first time ever, we have a new concept for our Annual Gala. This year's Gala moves away from the traditional honoree dinner. Instead, seven community leaders - Neil Beckerman, Julie and Jay Liberman, Lillian and Jon Pinkus, and Jackie and Steve Waldman, will partner with students in grades five through eight to guide them through performing mitzvah projects for four area Jewish non-profits that are aligned with Levine Academy's core values:

  • The Holocaust and Human Rights Museum
  • The Legacy Senior Communities
  • Jewish Family Service of Greater Dallas
  • The Jewish Federation of Greater Dallas Partnership 2Gether supporting the Western Galilee in Israel.
This is an opportunity for our school to host an event which brings our Jewish community together, highlights the importance of community service and helping others, and brings the focus back to our students, who are the reason for everything that we do.

Please save the date for this amazing event.
This year, our Gala will be on a Saturday night. March 9th at 7:30 PM

6th Grade: JFS Food Pantry Experience

Thank you, Jewish Family Service of Greater Dallas for simulating such an awesome experience through the “The Food Pantry Experience” for our 6th Graders!  Stay tuned for the next Gala Mitzvah Mensch project!

8th Grade & Kindergarten: Federation Partnership 2gether

Thank you Sarah Golman from the Jewish Federation of Greater Dallas for coming to speak to our 8th grade about the Federation Partnership 2gether program. 8th Grade students gathered with their Kindergarten buddies to create cards and letters for Israeli soldiers in our partnership area. Together, they watched a video and 8th graders had meaningful discussions with their buddies. Next month the 8th graders will be assembling care packages for a boarding school in the Western Galilee serving at risk youth in the region. Next Gala Mitzvah Mensch project will be coming soon!
