Be prepared to upload the following documents for both parents (if applicable): 
Recent tax returns, W-2s, Schedule 1s or other relevant income documents 

Note: Incomplete applications or missing documentation will delay processing and require follow-up. 

Once your documents are submitted, the application will be reviewed by FACTS, our third-party financial aid assessment provider. 

After completion, Levine’s Financial Aid Committee will review the findings to determine an appropriate award.

If your applications are submitted by our deadlines during the regular admissions season, your tuition assistance award will be included in your enrollment/re-enrollment contract in January (returning students) and March (new students) and will be automatically applied to your final tuition balance in Veracross.

Those applying outside of the regular admissions timeline will receive their awards after they have been admitted. 

If you would like to appeal your award decision, you may complete the Financial Aid Appeal Form. Appeals are reviewed by the Financial Aid Appeals Committee. Once a decision is made, it will be communicated to you.

Each family situation is unique, and tuition reductions are personalized to match each family’s situation to pay its fair share based on its financial picture.

Upon completion of the FACTS Application, it is submitted to a confidential committee for review. The committee takes several factors into consideration as it reviews the application. These include, but are not limited to, income, assets, family size, cost of living, unusual expenses and number of independent school or college tuitions. Then, using all this information, the committee determines what a family’s fair share of tuition should be in relation to the funds available.

Only families with students in Kindergarten through Eighth Grade can apply for the Financial Assistance program. The tuition affordability program (TAP) is open to all students in the Early Childhood program.

Each student is eligible to receive only one or the other, not both.

Yes. The applicant’s financial picture may change year to year and its needs may increase or decrease accordingly. In addition, our budget for Financial Assistance changes from year to year and that impacts the amount of funds available for families.

No. In addition to an applicant’s financial picture changing each year, so does the applicant pool. New students enter, some leave or graduate and a family’s needs may increase. The committee takes these and many other factors into consideration each year before determining what each applicant’s tuition will be.

All Financial Assistance applications submitted by the deadline along with required supporting documents can expect decisions once enrollment and re-enrollment contracts are issued in January. 

A family is eligible for assistance under the program if the family’s overall tuition and extended care payments (excluding Educare fees) are greater than 15% of the family AGI (Adjusted Gross Income), as reflected on the most recent completed IRS 1040 form.

The base tuition and extended care fees excluding Educare (specialty afterschool classes), other school fees, or camp.
