Felice Rosenfeld, Early Childhood Infant Care Teacher Assistant

What is your must-have classroom item?
My must have classroom item is students....children, no matter what age....who are full of excitement, energy, curiosity and dreams....because this inspires me to give 100% of myself every day.

If you had not become a teacher, what is something else you would be doing?
I would be a radio DJ. This was a former career of mine and I so enjoyed it. I love many different genres of music and always have tunes playing.

If you could be in any musical or movie what would it be? Super power?
Gone with the Wind.. .love the clothing and the scenery and the story. My super power would be the ability to bring back my father and other loved ones who are no longer here because each one had a hand in making me the person who I am now.

If you could have dinner with three people, alive or not, who would they be and why?
I would have dinner with my late father, James Kurtzman -- he was such a big part of my life, he supported me in the best and worst times of my life and he always encouraged me to chase after my dreams. I would have dinner with my late maternal grandmother, Augusta Zimmerman. She came from a very poor family and didn't have much but always found ways to make do with what she had. She gave so much of herself during her 95 years and never wanted anything in return. Lastly, I would want to have dinner with my daughters. They have been the best gifts I could ever have been given and in their eyes, I see my past, my present and my future and realize that for everything that has gone wrong in my life, they are the two things that I know I got right.

Anything else you would like us to know?
Life is good...it has been a long and winding road to get to where I am now but I would not change any of the journey. The lessons I have learned have made me the person I am today.
