On behalf of the Ann & Nate Levine Academy Board of Trustees, we are thrilled to officially welcome Dr. Lisa Vardi, Ed.D. to Levine as our new Head of School.

As we shared earlier this year, Dr. Vardi is a dynamic, values-driven leader whose career reflects a deep commitment to academic excellence, Jewish education and innovation. She brings a powerful combination of leadership, vision and passion suited for nurturing the qualities that align with our school's mission.

“Thank you for the opportunity to serve all of you as Head of School and lead this inclusive, dynamic Jewish community into the next phase of its remarkable journey. I’m eager to collaborate in the tradition of making Levine a place of Jewish joy and academic excellence, with a commitment to each child’s growth, discovery and development as future leaders. I look forward to meeting many more of you in the coming months!” — Dr. Lisa Vardi, Head of School

Dr. Vardi's School Leadership Experience

Most recently, Dr. Vardi spent the past five years at Charles E. Smith Jewish Day School (CESJDS) in Rockville, Md. where she served as High School Principal and Head of the Upper School Campus. During her tenure, she strengthened academic rigor, cultivated faculty excellence and fostered a student-centered culture rooted in both achievement and belonging.

Prior to CESJDS, Dr. Vardi dedicated 13 years to Bullis School in Potomac, Md., where she served as Director of Cross-Divisional Curriculum and Professional Development, Upper School Social Studies Department Chair, and Global Studies and Service Director. Earlier in her career, she served as both an administrator and teacher at Sherwood High School in Sandy Spring, Md., and as a department chair and teacher at Leo Baeck Junior High School in Haifa, Israel.

We’re excited for the journey ahead and look forward to this next chapter together!
