Leadership Camp
Leadership Camp is a unique camp for Gifted and Talented students ages 9 - 12. Students are selected based on academic performance in standardized testing and teacher/counselor recommendations. Students who are presently enrolled in a Gifted and Talented Program automatically qualify. The camp enables students to recognize characteristics, styles, and methods of leadership in themselves and in others. Problem- solving, decision-making, personal inventories, and conflict resolution are presented daily to challenge students to become aware of their own leadership potential. Classroom group activities, guest presenters and field trips are planned to enhance the students’ Leadership Camp experience. Leadership Camp is only offered Session I (June 16 - 27) and Session IV (July 28 -
August 8) from 9 a.m. - 12:30 p.m. This camp is made possible by a grant from the DeBusk Foundation.

Theatre Camp
Levine Academy Summer Theatre Camp is an exciting new camp for children interested in all aspects of theatre production. Campers will gain experience in stage singing, stage presence, blocking and terminology, choreography, history of the theatre, teamwork, production values and challenges, and have a ball doing it. This full-out production of The Pirates of Penzance, a Gilbert and Sullivan light opera (adapted for kids), offers every child a marvelous intense musical theatre experience while also being part of a real theatre company family. The costumes for this production will be fully professional, authentic, 19th Century costumes from New York, fitted to kids. Sets will be rented from an agency in Hollywood. ALL campers will appear on stage. Children enrolling in Theatre Camp are expected to attend ALL rehearsals, ALL four weeks. Except for serious emergencies or illness, there will be no exceptions made.
