Beyond the Classroom
International Book Sharing Project
In this unique program, sixth grade students read the same book as students at a school in Israel, using technology to communicate with the Israeli students. Eighth graders have the opportunity to meet these students when they travel to Israel for their two-and-a-half-week trip.
Trips
- Fourth Grade: Group Dynamix
- Fifth Grade: Group Dynamix, Sky Ranch (two days/one night)
- Sixth Grade: Historic Texas trip (four days) which ties into the study of government and Texas history
- Seventh Grade: Washington, D.C., and New York (eight days)
- Eighth Grade: Israel Trip (two-and-a-half weeks)
Outdoor Education
Students participate in ropes challenge courses to learn teamwork, leadership skills, and focus on mind/body connections.
