Book Club

What are you reading for fun?

Book Clubs at Levine Academy are a fun way to get together with other students and talk about stories -- how they inspire you, how they expand your interests, and how they relate to your life.

There are currently 2 book clubs at Levine Academy, one for 7th and 8th grade students called Café Book, and one for 5th and 6th grade students called Café Book Bluebonnet.

CAFÉ BOOK (7th and 8th grade students)

    • Students join the club at the beginning of each school year.
    • We read a wide variety of fiction, varying reading and interest levels.
    • Books are chosen by the students during “Booktalk and Vote” events
    • Books will be chosen by the students, with the guidance of the librarian.
    • Each club member receives a paperback copy of the current book being read
    • On the discussion day, students may bring in the lunch they purchase, or they may brown-bag-it. Drinks and desserts will be provided
    • There is no cost to come to Café Book.
